CCH Pounder (Warehouse 13, The Shield) and Zoe McLellan (JAG, Dirty Sexy Money) have joined the cast of CBS’ upcoming New Orleans set NCIS spin-off, TVWise has learned.
Pounder, who has most recently been recurring on FX’s hit series Sons of Anarchy, has been cast as Dr. Wade, the eccentric Jefferson Parish Medical Examiner; while McLellan has been cast as NCIS Special Agent Brody, a Midwestern transplant who comes to New Orleans looking for a fresh start and a safe haven to heal old wounds. The duo join a cast which is being led by Star Trek Enterprise alum Scott Bakula, who is playing series lead Special Agent Pride.
This potential spin-off, which is currently untitled, will be set in the NCIS New Orleans field office, which handles cases from Pensacola through Mississippi and Louisiana to the Texas panhandle. The spin-off is being piloted as a back door pilot which will air as a two-part episode of NCIS in the spring. CBS Television Studios is producing with Gary Glasberg and Mark Harmon serving as executive producers.
