BBC One Sets Premiere Date For ‘Call The Midwife’ Season 3

The third season of BBC One’s period drama Call The Midwife will premiere on Sunday January 19th at 8pm, it has been announced.

Call The Midwife is based on the memoirs of Jennifer Worth, who was a district midwife in London’s east end during the 1950′s and stars Jessica Raine, Jenny Agutter, Pam Ferris, Miranda Hart, Judy Parfitt, Helen George, Bryony Hannah, Laura Main and Cliff Paris. In the opening episode of the show’s third season, Following the closure of the former Nonnatus House, the nuns and midwives  finally move into their new premises. The building is not the only new sight as Sister Winifred arrives from the Mother House.

So looking forward to the first of series 3 on Sunday. I have been anxiously awaiting this show to return. I enjoyed the series so much last year.

Such a wonderful genuine show! Reminded me of the nurses I new in the 60′s in Australia and the stories my mom told of the way nursing care was in those days. She was a mother craft nurse. They took care of the baby and mother post birth.
