The Vicious Christmas special will premiere on ITV on Friday December 27th at 9pm, it has been announced.

Penned by Will & Grace scribe Gary Janetti, Vicious follows ageing partners Freddie and Stuart. These two men have lived together in a small Covent Garden flat for nearly 50 years. Freddie was a budding actor and Stuart a barman when they first met but their careers are now pretty much over and their lives now consist of reading books, walking their dog and bickering. Joining Freddie and Stuart is feisty best friend Violet. She’s young at heart with a delicious sense of humour and always on hand to calm Freddie and Stuart down during one of their many arguments. However, their world is about to be turned upside down by the arrival of a young man, Ash, as their new upstairs neighbour. The comedy series is produced by Brown Eyed Boy in association with Kudos Film & TV and stars Ian McKellen, Derek Jacobi, Frances de la Tour, Iwan Rheon, Marcia Warren and Phillip Voss. The special tells the story of Freddie and Stuart, who have invited the whole gang over for a traditional Christmas Dinner.
