Following on from striking deals to acquire TNT’s Mob City and the third season of French drama series Braquo, FOX UK has picked up the rights to Fox Sport’s six episode series Being: Mike Tyson and the eleventh season of Family Guy (which has previously aired in the UK on BBC Three) and the fourth & final season of The Cleveland Show (which has previously aired in the UK on E4). Being: Mike Tyson, Family Guy season 11 and The Cleveland Show season 4 are all set to air on FOX UK in January 2014.
Being: Mike Tyson is a special six episode edition of Fox Sports’ Emmy Award-nominated all-access documentary series Being, which in the past has covered such subjects as Liverpool Football Club and the NYPD Football Club. In Being: Mike Tyson cameras follow Tyson as he travels the country on a national tour of his one-man stage show, he reflects on his past and seeks personal closure. Whether visiting the prison in Indianapolis where he served 3 years for rape, spending time with his one-time rival Evander Holyfield, meeting with Muhammad Ali, visiting his old neighborhoods in Brooklyn and the Catskills or simply spending time with his children, we see this emotional journey first hand. Captured in an intimate and immersive fashion, Being: Mike Tyson offers viewers a cinematic and private look at the former heavyweight champ. Unlike any portrait that has ever before been captured, Being: Mike Tyson is not a look back, but instead, a look inward.
Created by Seth MacFarlane, Family Guy follows the adventures of Peter Griffin and his hilariously odd family of middle-class New Englanders in Quahog, Rhode Island. The animated series, which has been renewed for a twelfth season, is produced by 20th Century Fox Television and features the voices of Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green and Mila Kunis. In the show’s eleventh season the Griffins climb Mount Everest; Lois has a mid-life crisis; Meg falls for a boy who turns out to like her brother, Chris; and Brian and Stewie leap into action after they discover the company owned by Lois’ dad, Carter Pewterschmidt, has found the cure for cancer.
Created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Henry and Richard Appel, The Cleveland Show follows the Brown-Tubbs family headed by Cleveland and his sassy high-school-sweetheart-turned-second-wife Donna. The rest of the household includes Donna’s boy-crazy teenage daughter, Roberta; the 5-year-old with an old soul Rallo; and the lovable-but-not-so-bright Cleveland Jr. The animated series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television and features the voices of Mike Henry, Sanaa Lathan, Reagan Gomez-Preston, Kevin Michael Richardson, Jason Sudeikis and Seth MacFarlane. In the show’s fourth season, Cleveland and his friends visit Goochland for the annual football game against their high-school rivals. However, an accident with a car leaves them scrambling to find an escape route from their old enemies’ home turf. Meanwhile, Donna wears a sexy Halloween costume that gets her into trouble with the police, and Roberta and Cleveland Jr play pranks around Stoolbend dressed as their parents.
