The seventh season of Murdoch Mysteries – which runs an extended length of 18 episodes – will receive its UK premiere on UKTV’s Alibi channel on Monday January 27th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Based on the series of novels by Maureen Jennings, Murdoch Mysteries is set at the turn of the 20th century and revolves around Detective William Murdoch of the Toronto constabulary, who uses groundbreaking forensic techniques to close his cases. The series – which is a co-production between UKTV, CBC, ITV Studios Global Entertainment and Shaftesbury Films – stars Yannick Bisson, Thomas Craig, Helene Joy and Jonny Harris. In the opening episode of the show’s seventh season, titled Murdoch Ahoy, Detective Murdoch investigates the disappearance of a ship magnate’s daughter and the discovery of a body aboard a ship on its inaugural Victoria Day voyage.
