Court is back in session. TNT has renewed their legal dramedy Franklin & Bash for a fourth season of 10 episodes, which is set to air next Summer.
Created by Kevin Fall and Bill Chais, Franklin & Bash follows the exploits of Jared Franklin and Peter Bash, two street wise lawyers who, after defeating the well known law firm of Infeld & Daniels, are recruited to work at the firm to boost their litigation department. The series is produced by Four Sycamore Productions, Left Coast Productions & FanFare Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television and stars Breckin Meyer, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Malcolm McDowell, Reed Diamond, Kumail Nanjiani, Dana Davis and Heather Locklear.
With the renewal, Franklin & Bash becomes the final TNT original scripted series to learn its fate. The network has previously renewed fellow Summer series Falling Skies, Major Crimes, Perception and Rizzoli & Isles; with only freshman drama series King & Maxwell failing to earn a second season renewal, despite attracting higher ratings than the third season of Franklin & Bash. These renewals also come at a time when TNT is ramping up the volume of original scripted series on their slate with a view to being able to program year-round rather than simply focusing on the quieter Summer months. To that end, the network has picked up four new series: Murder In The First, Legends, The Last Ship and Mob City, which is set to premiere on December 4th.
