Ratings: BBC One’s ‘The Paradise’ Dips To 4.6 Million Viewers In Week 2

The Paradise suffered a slight ratings decline with the second episode of its eight episode second season, but was still able to hold its own in the Sunday night 8pm time-slot, overnight figures have revealed.

The second episode of the period drama’s current season pulled in an average audience of 4.6 million viewers and a 17% share. That is down some 600K viewers or 12% on the 5.2 million viewers who tuned into the season premiere last week, but more or less in line with the first season’s average audience of 4.9 million viewers.

Elsewhere at 8pm, the second season premiere of Great Continental Railway Journeys on BBC Two pulled in 2.4 million viewers and a 9% share; ITV’s The X Factor won the slot with 9.1 million viewers and a 35% share (incl. +1); Channel 4’s Bigfoot Files attracted an average audience of 1.6 million viewers and a 6% share; while over on Channel 5 Ghostbusters (18:55 – 20:55) pulled in just over one million viewers and a 4% share.
