Two more familiar names are joining Fox’s upcoming 12 episode event series 24: Live Another Day.
Kim Raver and William Devane have closed deals to star in the 12 episode skein reprising their roles as Audrey Raines and former Secretary of Defense James Heller, respectively. Nobody is confirming this, but one source tells me that in 24: Live Another Day James Heller (Devane) is serving as the new President of the United States. The deals come after Kim Raver was previously reported to be in talks to reprise her role and shortly after Fox announced that 24: Live Another Day will be set and produced in London. They join 24 veterans Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub who are reprising their roles as CTU agent Jack Bauer and Chloe O’Brien.
24: Live Another Day is being written by Howard Gordon & David Fury and will be set several years after the events depicted in season 8. Across the 12 episodes, spanning 24 hours, former Counter Terrorist Unit agent Jack Bauer will be called upon to once again save the day. The limited event series, which Fox said could be followed by additional such entries in the coming years, is being produced by 20th Century Fox Television, Imagine Entertainment & Teakwood Lane Productions and will star Kiefer Sutherland, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kim Raver and William Devane. The executive producers are Howard Gordon, Evan Katz, Manny Coto, David Fury, Robert Cochran, Brian Grazer, Jon Cassar and Kiefer Sutherland.
