Fox’s Sleepy Hollow already broke ratings records for Universal Channel when the series premiered in the UK. Now, the series premiere has added just under 0.3 million viewers to its initial audience with seven days of consolidation, it has been revealed.
The UK series premiere of Sleepy Hollow, which originally aired on Universal Channel on Wednesday October 9th at 9pm, attracted an audience of 0.674 million viewers. That is up some 279k viewers or 71% on the initial overnight rating of 0.395 million viewers – which already outperformed Universal’s slot average by 400% and rated as the channel’s highest rated overnight audience in 8 years.
Written by Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci, Sleepy Hollow is based on The Legend of the Sleepy Hollow and follows Ichabod Crane as he partners with Sleepy Hollow’s local female sheriff to solve the mysteries of a town ravaged by the battle between good and evil. The drama series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television & K/O Paper Products and stars Tom Mison, John Cho, Orlando Jones, Katia Winter and Nicole Beharie. The series has already been renewed for a second season of 13 episodes.
