Comedy Central UK has hired Louise Holmes, who is currently serving as Head of Marketing for BBC Two, BBC Three and BBC Four, to serve as Vice President of Programming for the Viacom backed broadcaster. She will take up her new role on Monday November 25th, reporting directly to Jill Offman, Managing Director of Comedy Central UK and Senior Vice President of International Content for Comedy Central.
In her new role as Comedy Central UK’s VP of Programming, Holmes – whose extensive resume also includes a four year term as Channel Director at Discovery Networks Italy – will be responsible for Comedy Central’s programming, scheduling and research in the UK and will also oversee programming and scheduling across others territories managed by the UK office. Holmes’ appointment also marks the most recent executive hire for Comedy Central UK, who also recently appointed former NBCU exec Lourdes Diaz to oversee the development and commissioning of scripted content for VIMN’s network of Comedy channels and websites outside the US, including Comedy Central UK.
