The second season of NBC’s drama series Chicago Fire will receive its UK premiere on Sky Living on Wednesday October 16th at 8pm, it has been announced.
Created by Derek Haas and Michael Brandt, Chicago Fire follows the Rescue Squad and Paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51. These are America’s everyday heroes — the courageous men and women who forge headfirst into danger when everyone else is running the other way. But the enormous responsibilities of the job also take a personal toll. Big reputations and hefty egos, coupled with the pressure to perform and make split-second decisions, are bound to put squad members at odds. The drama series is produced by Universal Television and stars Spencer, Monica Raymund, Eamonn Walker, Teri Reeves, Charlie Barnett, Taylor Kinney, David Eigenberg, Lauren German and Merle Dandridge. In the opening episode of the show’s second season, titled A Problem House, Evidence recovered at a series of fires indicates that Lt. Severide is being targeted by an arsonist. Meanwhile, Battalion Chief Boden clashes with Gail McLeod (guest star Michelle Forbes), a high ranking consultant with the State Marshal’s office who keeps a sharp eye on budgets and performance at the city’s firehouses — and has 51 under her microscope as one that could face the prospect of being closed. Elsewhere, Lt. Casey reflects on the year anniversary of Andy’s death, Shay has suspicions about Severide’s paternity and Mouch enjoys a visit from Mari (guest star Cindy Chang), his Japanese girlfriend
