Amazon owned streaming service LOVEFiLM has struck a deal with NBCUniversal International Television Distribution which will see a number of children’s television series and films made available to subscribers of the OTT service. Titles covered by said deal include Rastamouse, Curious George, Barbie: Princess Charm School, The Land Before Time and Maisy.
The deal with NBCUITD build on LOVEFiLM’s existing relationship with the international distribution division of NBCUniversal. The two previously struck a deal earlier this year which saw a number of NBCU distributed titles such as 30 Rock, The Office, Heroes and Knight Rider. This deal is also the latest content deal that LOVEFiLM has struck in recent months and follows last week’s with Scripps Networks Interactive and last month’s bumper deal with CBS Studios International, which saw Emily Owens, M.D. (amongst other titles) made available on the streaming service.
“From talking to our members we know there is a real demand for top quality entertainment for younger viewers, so we are delighted to add such great shows to our already vast library of kids content”, said Simon Morris, LOVEFiLM’s Chief Marketing Officer. “From nostalgic classics to modern favourites, there is a wealth of child-friendly series available on LOVEFiLM Instant and these latest additions allow us to offer our ever-growing audience more choice than ever before.”
