Hulu has closed a deal to acquire the exclusive US streaming rights to Channel 4’s four-part drama Run, TVWise has learned. The drama joins Hulu’s slate of exclusive UK series which includes Misfits and Moone Boy, both of which will return to the streaming service for their latest seasons later this year.

Created by Marlon Smith and Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan, Run weaves together the stories of four seemingly unconnected people who are facing life-changing decisions in a world where there is little choice and survival is never a given. The drama is produced by Acme and stars Olivia Colman, Katie Leung, Lennie James. Katharina Schüttler, Jaime Winstone, Neil Maskell, Kate Dickie and Benedict Wong. The opening episode tells the story of Carol (Olivia Colman), a tough single mother striving to keep her family together. When her teenage sons commit an act of random violence that results in the death of a stranger, Carol faces the impossible choice of protecting her children or doing the right thing.
