Archive: ‘Crossing Lines’ Renewed For 12 Episode Second Season, Future On NBC In Doubt? – TVWise

French broadcaster TF1 and Sony Pictures Television Networks have announced that they have renewed their drama series Crossing Lines – which was acquired by NBC and became a key part of their Summer line up – for a second season. 12 episodes have been ordered for the show’s second season.
Created and developed by Edward Allen Bernero and Rola Bauer, Crossing Lines is set in exotic locations and taps into the charter of the International Criminal Court to investigate serialized cross-border crimes and to hunt down global criminals. The drama series is produced by Bernero Productions and stars William Fichtner, Donald Sutherland, Marc Lavoine, Gabriella Pession, Tom Wlaschiha, Moon Dailly and Richard Flood. The entire main cast will return for the show’s second season, with Lara Rossi becoming a series regular for season 2.
The renewal of Crossing Lines comes after Tandem Communications & Sony Pictures Television Networks launched the skein in some 180 territories, though Crossing Lines has yet to secure a UK sale, with the drama delivering strong ratings across Europe. That said, the series was far from a hit for NBC and a source at the peacock confirmed to TVWise that they had yet to make a decision on whether or not they will be airing the show’s second season.
