TV Land has ordered an additional 10 episodes of its comedy series The Exes for the show’s third season.
Created by Mark Reisman (Frasier), The Exes revolves around three divorced men: Ladies’ man Phil, homebody Haskell and newly single, and needy, Stuart. The men live together in an apartment across the hall from their divorce attorney, Holly, who also happens to be their landlord. Holly avoids her own relationship and commitment issues by becoming immersed in the men’s affairs as they put their lives back together and return to the dating scene. The comedy series is produced by TV Land Original Productions, Acme Productions & Mark Reisman Productions and stars Donald Faison, Wayne Knight, David Alan Basche, Kelly Stables & Kristen Johnston.
The additional order comes after The Exes has made some ratings gains on last season, with the show up 9% in the 25-54 demo. This back order brings the total number of episodes for season three to 20. The series will continue airing in its Wednesday night time-slot until late August and will then return for the remaining 10 episodes of season 3 in late 2013/early 2014.
