FX’s newest series The Bridge has seen a significant bump in its ratings with live+3 data now factored in.
The series premiere, which aired on Wednesday July 10th, has seen its ratings rise to 4.64 million total viewers, up 53% from the live+same day figure of 3.04 million total viewers; and 1.93 million adults 18-49, up 67% from the live+same day figure of 1.16 million adults 18-49.
With those DVR numbers, The Bridge now ranks as the third highest rated series premiere in FX’s history. According to the network, the series has posted record time-shifted viewership increase for any FX series premiere ever and, based on the network’s projections, it will likely become FX’s most-watched series premiere ever when Live+7 data is available. The Bridge will need to rise by a further 11% in live+7 to beat the series premiere of The Americans (5.11 million total viewers) to achieve that.
The increases that The Bridge has seen in live+3 are above those for the premiere of the networks most recent drama series The Americans. That series rose by 44% in total viewers and 48% in the Adults 18-49 demo, which at the time were record highs for an FX series premiere.
