It has been considered a given, but Sky Atlantic today confirmed that, as part of the five year output deal that BSkyB signed with HBO in 2010, they have acquired first run on HBO’s upcoming Stephen Merchant fronted comedy series Hello Ladies. The channel also announced that the series will launch this Autumn alongside the 10 episode second season of political comedy series Veep.

Created by Stephen Merchant, Hello Ladies follows a gawky, 6’ 7” Englishman searching for the woman of his dreams in Los Angeles. The comedy series is produced by HBO Originals is association with ABC Studios and stars Merchant, Christine Woods, Nate Torrence and Kevin Weisman.
