Tamzin Outhwaite Joins BBC One’s ‘New Tricks’

Tamzin Outhwaite (EastEnders) has joined the cast of BBC One’s New Tricks for its upcoming tenth season. Outhwaite has been cast as  DCI Sacha Millard, the new CO of UCOS who will need to use all her policing experience to manage her team of unconventional ex-coppers reinvestigating the Met’s unsolved crime. Outhwaite will appear in the final two episodes of season ten, following the departure of Amanda Redman.

New Tricks was created by Nigel McCrery & Roy Mitchelland follows a group of retired police officers, who are brought back into the fold as part of UCOS (Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad), a unit dedicated to solving cold cases. The drama series stars Alun Armstrong, Denis Lawson Dennis Waterman, Denis Lawson, Nicholas Lyndhurst and Amanda Redman.

Speaking of joining the series, Tamzn Outhwaite, commented: “I’m delighted to be joining the cast at such an exciting time – I’ve been a huge fan of the show for years – and can’t wait to be working with the amazing cast and crew.”
