Syfy has renewed its drama series Being Human for a fourth season of 13 episodes, the network announced today at their upfront presentation in New York.
Based on the successful BBC Three series of the same name, Being Human revolves around a trio consisting of a Vampire, a ghost and a werewolf. Leading normal lives is a lot harder than it looks for these three paranormal roommates – vampire Aidan, ghost Sally and werewolf Josh – who share their secrets and a Boston brownstone. Together they try their best to be human while navigating the complexities of living double lives. The drama series is produced by Muse Entertainment in association with Zodiak USA & stars Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath, Sam Huntington and Kristen Hager.
The renewal comes mere days after Being Human wrapped its third season of Syfy this past Monday. The show’s third season has been averaging 1.8 million total viewers, including 1.1 million Adults 18-49 and 1.1 million Adults 25-54, and is a top ten cable program in its time period among both key demos, according to live+7 data.
“Being Human really hit its stride creatively this year,”said Mark Stern, President of Original Content for Syfy & Co-Head of Original Content for Universal Cable Productions. “This show has become a signature series for Syfy and we are thrilled to have it return in 2014.”
