AMC has ordered a pilot for a new one-hour drama series from Blake Masters (Brotherhood) titled Line of Sight. The project marks AMC’s first entry into the science-fiction genre. Production on Line of Sight is slated to commence later this year.
Created by Masters, Line of Sight follows Lewis Bernt, a National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigator who survives a mysterious plane crash, bringing him on a quest to discover the accident’s cause. He becomes a man whose entire sense of self, his own life and the world as he knows it, completely unravels in a whirlwind of obsession and paranoia. Fox Television Studios and AMC Studios are producing with Masters serving as the executive producer. AMC’s Joel Stillerman, Susie Fitzgerald and Jason Fisher will oversee the pilot’s development and production.
“Blake Masters has created a world and set of characters that defies the traditional boundaries of drama and sci-fi. It’s got great elements of both genres while also having that unique blend of a conspiracy thriller. It is genuinely unexpected and unconventional,” said Joel Stillerman, Executive Vice-President of original programming, production and digital content for AMC. “It is also great to be working with our incredible partners at FTVS again.”
