The MiddleSky1 has announced that the fourth seasons of The Middle and Modern Family will return to the channel to finish airing their fourth seasons on Friday March 29th at 8pm and 8:30pm, respectively. That comedy block will then lead into new drama series Revolution which kicks off with a double-bill at 9pm. The broadcaster has also announced that the twenty-fourth season of The Simpsons will premiere on Sunday March 24th at 6pm with a double-bill, while what is being called the “eighth season” of Futurama (which aired state-side as season 6b) will premiere on Friday March 29th at 7:30pm, leading into new episodes of The Middle.

The Middle was created by Eileen Heisler & DeAnn Heline and follows the daily life of Frances Heck, a loving wife and mother of three, who lives in Orson, Indiana with her family. The comedy series stars Patricia Heaton, Neil Flynn, Charlie McDermott, Eden Sher, Atticus Shaffer and Chris Kattan. In the next new episode, Axl and Sue enrol in the same life skills class where the Ax-Man’s mortification is doubled when he is forced to team up with his little sis on a project. Brick isn’t faring much better, either, as school therapist Dr Fulton hopes to improve his social skills in an attempt to help him make some friends.

Created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan, Modern Family is a multi-generational family sitcom which follows the daily lives of Jay Pritchett and the members of his “modern family”. The comedy series is produced by ABC Studios and stars Ed O’Neill, Sofía Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould and Rico Rodriguez. In the next new episode, Jay has planned for the whole family to celebrate New Year’s together at a great hotel in Palm Springs. However, when the hotel turns out to be less than stellar, everyone starts to branch off to do their own thing, leaving Jay dejected – that is, until he runs into the one and only Billy Dee Williams. Back at home, Haley and Alex watch over the kids, which proves to be quite a challenge.

The 24th season of The Simpsons kicks off with the episode Moonshine River, in which Bart is reunited with The One That Got Away, following his heart all the way to New York to look for long-lost love Mary Spuckler, voiced by New Girl‘s Zooey Deschanel. The new season of Futurama kicks off with the episode Benderama, in which Bender creates duplicates of himself, who in turn create duplicates of themselves, until they threaten to consume all of the matter on Earth.
