MTV UK & Ireland has picked up the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to reality series Buckwild, it has been announced. The show’s 12 episode first season is set to receive its UK premiere on MTV on Tuesday March 5th at 9pm. The latest addition to MTV UK’s spring schedule, Buckwild joins the likes of Catfish: The TV Show, dramedy series Underemployed and Canadian drama series The L.A. Complex.

Buckwild has been described as a “hillbilly series” which follows a group of nine friends living in West Virginia. Having known each other for years, these young people are united by the deep pride they have for small-town American life, in which they find unique ways to create their own fun. From transforming a dump truck into a pool party to building a human sling shot, they live their lives loud and proud without restrictions. Beyond dating, friendship, and their love of mudding, the bond they share with family and friends is always at the core for this fun-loving group. The reality series is produced by Zoo Productions and Parallel Entertainment, with  J.P. Williams, John Stevens, Barry Poznick, Adam Paul, Lauren Dolgen and Colin Nash serving as executive producers.
