Angelique Cabral Joins Fox’s ‘Enlisted’ As Female Lead

Fox has found the female lead for its single-camera comedy pilot Enlisted. Angelique Cabral has been cast in the comedy alongside former The Finder star Geoff Stults. Keith David also stars.

Created by Cougar Town‘s Kevin Biegel, Enlisted revolves around follows three very different brothers working together on a small Army base in Florida. At the center of the comedy is Sergeant Pete Waits (Geoff Stults) who gets transferred from Afghanistan back to a base in Florida after an altercation with a superior officer. It’s at this base that he is handed a tough assignment – leading his brother’s squad. 20th Century Fox Television is producing, with Biegel and Mike Royce executive producing.

Cabral, who most recently appeared on ABC’s now cancelled comedy series Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23, is set to play Jill Perez, a confident, funny and ballsy sergeant at the Army base. She is described as being “beloved” by her soldiers and heads a unit in the Rear Detachment. Her previous credits include Lifetime’s Devious Maids and Happy Endings.
