The early renewal for Bones comes on the back of steady ratings for the veteran series. Across season 8, Bones has been averaging 7.4 million total viewers and a 2.1 rating in the A18-49 demo in live+same day. Elsewhere at Fox, the network has already renewed Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy and The Simpsons while freshman series The Mob Doctor – which wrapped its 13 episode run last night – has been cancelled.
