Channel 5 Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Stephen King’s Bag Of Bones’

A&E’s three-hour mini-series Stephen King’s Bag of Bones will receive its UK premiere on Channel 5 on Saturday December 29th at 9:10pm, it has been announced.

Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name and developed for television by Matt Venne, Bag of Bones is a ghost story of grief and lost love’s enduring bonds, about an innocent child caught in a terrible crossfire and a new love haunted by past secrets. The mini-series follows a bestselling novelist, Mike Noonan, who, after the sudden death of his wife Jo, decides to return to the retreat he once shared with her in Maine. While at the retreat, Mike finds himself embroiled in a custody dispute with a wealthy family. Though the writers block which had been plaguing him since his wife’s death is now gone, Mike finds himself haunted by nightmares and the ghostly of Sara Tidwell. Through all of these paranormal events, Mike realizes that Jo has something that she is trying to communicate to him from beyond. Stephen King’s Bag of Bones stars Pierce Brosnan as Mike Noonan, Annabeth Gish as Jo Noonan, Melissa George as Mattie, Anika Noni Rose as Sara Tidwell, William Schallert as Max Devore and Caitlin Carmichael as Kyra Devore.
