Channel 4 Sets UK Premiere Date For Mini-Series ‘World Without End’

World Without End – the sequel to mini-series Pillars of the Earth – will receive its UK premiere on Channel 4 on Saturday January 12th at 9pm, it has been announced.

Set 200 years after Pillars of the Earth, the mini-series picks up with a new cast of characters, including Caris, a feisty young woman who inspires her medieval town of Kingsbridge to confront the most powerful forces of her time, namely the Church and the Crown, as they fight to save their town from ruin and, ultimately, usher in a new era of freedom, innovation, and enlightenment. The mini-series features an exceptional cast including Cynthia Nixon (Sex & The City), Peter Firth (Spooks), Ben Chaplin (Dorian Gray), Charlotte Riley (The Take), Rupert Evans (The Little House), Tom Weston-Jones (Spooks) and Miranda Richardson (Harry Potter). World Without End was produced by Tandem Communications, Take 5 Productions and Galafilm and directed by Michael Caton-Jones. The executive producers are Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Rola Bauer, David W. Zucker, Tim Halkin, John Weber and Jonas Bauer.
