Alibi Sets UK Premiere Date For 'Murdoch Mysteries' Season 6 – TVWise

The sixth season of Murdoch Mysteries will receive its UK premiere on the UKTV owned Alibi channel on Monday February 4th at 9pm, TVWise has learned.
Based on the series of novels by Maureen Jennings, Murdoch Mysteries is set at the turn of the 20th century and revolves around Detective William Murdoch of the Toronto constabulary, who uses groundbreaking forensic techniques to close his cases. The series – which is a co-production between UKTV, CBC, ITV Studios Global Entertainment and Shaftesbury Films – stars Yannick Bisson, Thomas Craig, Helene Joy and Jonny Harris. According to a synopsis of season six obtained by TVWise, in these 13 new episodes Detective Murdoch tries to clear the name of a young Winston Churchill after his visit to Canada goes awry; a dangerous madman threatens to unleash a deadly toxic gas attack; and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle makes an appearance when his supposedly fictional creation, Detective Sherlock Holmes, becomes entangled in a violent robbery. Murdoch also crosses paths with the Wright Brothers, and sees first hand the amazement of mechanical airplane flight when he delves into a high-flying, high-level conspiracy.
