The second season of Showtime’s drama series Shameless will receive its UK premiere on More4 on Sunday November 4th at 11:05pm, it has been announced.

Based on Channel 4′s series of the same name, Shameless (dubbed Shameless US by Channel 4 to diferentiate it from the original) was developed for US television by John Wells and follows the daily lives of the members of the blue collar Gallagher family who live in the South Side of Chicago. The working class family struggles to make ends meet while Frank, the patriach of the Gallagher clan, can usually be found at the local bar spending what little money they have. The drama series, which has already been renewed for a third season, stars William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum, Justin Chatwin, Jeremy Allen White, Cameron Monaghan, Steve Howey, Emma Kenney, Joan Cusack, Ethan Cutkosky, Shanola Hampton and Laura Slade Wiggins.

The show’s second season sees the Gallagher family braving the summertime Chicago heat, while trying to keep Frank out of trouble. Bearing the de facto parent badge, Fiona spends her nights working at a happening nightclub and her days keeping an eye on Debbie and Carl as they run a makeshift daycare center at the house. Meanwhile, brothers Lip and Ian are toying with the idea of college, while Sheila is still housing Frank and making progress with her agoraphobia. As usual, the motley brood somehow manages to hold down the fort and make sure the bills are paid, the lights are on and there is food on the table.
