The second season of CBS’ comedy series 2 Broke Girls will receive its UK premiere on E4 on Thursday November 15th at 8:30pm, it has been announced.

Created by Michael Patrick King and Whitney Cummings, 2 Broke Girls revolves around two waitresses in New York City who become friends and decide to work together to achieve their dreams of opening and running a cupcake store. The half hour comedy series stars Kat Dennings as Max Black, Beth Behrs as Caroline Channing, Garrett Morris as Earl, Jonathan Kite as Oleg, Matthew Moy as Han Lee and Jennifer Coolidge as Sophie Kerchinsky.

In the opening episode of the show’s second season, titled And The Hidden Stash, Max meets Martin Channing, Caroline’s dad, for the first time when the girls visit him in a white collar prison. They quickly bond, and Martin enlists Max’s help in getting Caroline to attend an auction where the contents of their old townhouse will be put up for sale. Martin tells the girls to buy an old loving cup that Caroline won riding Chestnut as a child, claiming that it is the only item in the auction with ‘real value.’ Believing that Martin stashed some of his money in the cup, Max becomes obsessed with the idea of getting rich quick.
