EXCLUSIVE: BBC One has put into development a 90 minute one off drama from Strike Back showrunner Tony Saint. Penned by Saint, the 90 minute film is set in 1953 and is said to be a “biopic of sorts that depicts the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.” BBC In House is producing with Hilary Salmon attached as executive producer.

The drama re-unites Saint and BBC In House, where he previously wrote the TV film On Expenses for BBC Four back in 2010. Saint, repped by Curtis Brown, has spent the past two years working on the Sky1/Cinemax series Strike Back (produced by Sony Pictures Television’s Left Bank Pictures) where he started as a writer before being elevated to co-executive producer and showrunner for the show’s third season.
