With consolidated figures (live+7) now available, the Thursday October 4th series premiere of BBC One’s spy drama Hunted has seen its ratings rise to an impressive 5.7 million viewers. That is an increase of 1.2 million viewers or 27% on the overnights for the series in the 9pm time slot, where it initially pulled in 4.5 million viewers and a 19% share.
Hunted‘s competitors in the Thursday 9pm time-slot also made impressive gains. BBC Two’s The Choir rose to 2.6 million viewers, posting gains of 400 000 viewers or 18% over the series overnight rating of 2.2 million viewers; and Channel 4’s Hotel GB rose to 1.6 million viewers, picking up 200 000 viewers or 14% on the program’s overnight rating of 1.4 million viewers. Finally, UKTV’s Dave channel saw a significant increase on the tenth season premiere of Red Dwarf which rose by almost 500 000 viewers or 33%, building on the initial audience of 1.5 million to deliver 1.98 million viewers.
