EXCLUSIVE: Following on from the recent acquisitions of Lie To Me and Life, Universal Channel has closed a deal with CBS Studios International to acquire the UK broadcast rights to the CBS procedural series Numb3rs. The show is set to premiere on Universal Channel on Tuesday October 16th at 7pm and will then air on weekdays in the 7pm time-slot.
Numb3rs was created by Nicolas Falacci & Cheryl Heuton and told the story of an FBI agent who recruits his mathematical-genius brother to help the Bureau solve a wide range of challenging crimes in Los Angeles. The two brothers take on the most confounding criminal cases from a very distinctive perspective. The drama series, which was previously broadcast by Channel 5 in the UK, ran for six seasons (118 episodes) on CBS in the US and starred Rob Morrow, David Krumholtz, Judd Hirsch, Alimi Ballard, Sabrina Lloyd, Dylan Bruno, Diane Farr, Navi Rawat, Sophina Brown, Aya Sumika and Peter MacNicol.
