TNT Renews ‘Franklin & Bash’ For Third Season

TNT has renewed sophomore dramedy series Franklin & Bash for a third season of 10 episodes, which is set to air in 2013. The series Dallas, Falling Skies, PerceptionMajor Crimes and Rizzoli & Isles, all of which have been renewed by TNT for another season.

Franklin & Bash was created by Kevin Falls and Bill Chais and follows the exploits of Jared Franklin and Peter Bash, two street wise lawyers who, after defeating the well known law firm of Infeld & Daniels, are recruited to work at the firm to boost their litigation department. The series stars Breckin Meyer as Jared Franklin, Mark-Paul Gosselaar as Peter Bash, Malcolm McDowell as Stanton Infeld, Reed Diamond as Damien Karp, Kumail Nanjiani as Pindar Singh, Dana Davis as Carmen Phillips and Garcelle Beauvais as Hanna Linden.

Across its ten episode second season, which wrapped its run in August, Franklin & Bash averaged 4.3 million viewers in its new Tuesday 10 pm timeslot, up 10% over its first season, and 1.8 million viewers in the 18-49 demo and 2.0 million viewers in the 25-54 demo.

Speaking of the renewal, Michael Wright, President and head of programming for TNT, TBS and TCM, said: “Franklin & Bash, with its winning cast and some of the sharpest dialogue on television, is a refreshingly clever, light-hearted take on the courtroom drama. We look forward to spending another season with Breckin, Mark-Paul and the rest of the terrific cast and crew of Franklin & Bash.”
