It looks like the UK is finally going to get to see the full run of Friday Night Lights. Sky Atlantic has closed a deal with NBCUniversal International Television Distribution to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to seasons 3, 4 & 5 of Friday Night Lights. The acquisition comes as the show’s second season (which has previously been broadcast in the UK by ITV4) is airing on the pay TV channel.

Created by Peter Berg, Friday Night Lights followed a high school football team and their coach Eric Taylor. The drama series ran for five seasons (two on NBC and a further three which first aired on DirecTV’s 101 Network) and starred Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton, Gaius Charles, Zach Gilford, Minka Kelly, Adrianne Palicki, Taylor Kitsch, Jesse Plemons, Scott Porter, Aimee Teegarden, Michael B. Jordan, Matt Lauria, Jurnee Smollett, Madison Burge and Grey Damon.
