Robert Webb (Fresh Meat), Montserrat Lombard (Ashes to Ashes), Hermione Norris (Spooks), MyAnna Buring (The Twilight Saga), Daniel Rigby (Eric & Ernie), Warren Brown (Good Cop), Oliver Ford Davies (Game of Thrones), Sir Antony Sher (The Shadow Line), Alastair Mackenzie (Black Mirror), Pippa Bennett Warner (Case Histories), Charity Wakefield (Leaving), Kingsley Ben-Adir and South African actor Anele Matoti have all been cast in ITV1’s TV movie Agatha Christie’s Marple: A Caribbean Mystery and will appear alongside Julia McKenzie, who is reprising her role as Miss Marple.

Agatha Christie’s Marple: A Caribbean Mystery is one of three new Marple adaptations that will be airing on ITV1 in 2013. Adapated by Charlie Higson, the two hour film finds Miss Marple very far from St Mary Mead in a lavish hotel on the tropical island of St. Honore. However, the island is not the idyll location it appears to be. Fellow guest Major Palgrave dies shortly after his arrival in suspicious circumstances. Marple, unconvinced by the official line that the Major died of a heart attack, investigates the matter with business tycoon Jason Rafiel. The two of them uncover a web of deceit and dark magic and are convinced that another murder is imminent. With the local police chief unwilling to listen, Miss Marple must unravel the truth, and apprehend this paradise island’s dangerous killer.
