The first season of TNT’s Dallas will receive its UK premiere on Channel 5 on Wednesday September 5th at 9pm, it has been announced.

A continuation of the late 1970′s series of the same name, Dallas marks the return to Southfork of J.R., Bobby and Sue Ellen Ewing, who bring with them their arsenal of secrets, schemes and betrayals. This time, they’re joined by the next generation of Ewings, who take ambition and deception to a new level. The drama series is produced by Warner Horizon Television and stars Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo and Brenda Strong.

In the show’s ten episode first season, an increasingly volatile feud is now brewing between John Ross and Christopher, which sets the stage for JR to return to his nefarious ways and rekindle his own long-standing rivalry with his younger brother, Bobby. As the current family patriarch, Bobby will stop at nothing to keep the younger Ewings from perpetuating the battle that nearly brought down the entire family. But when a medical issue threatens his life, Bobby is forced to make a tough decision that could forever alter the lives of everyone he loves. Always ready to stir the pot is Sue Ellen Ewing, John Ross’ mother, who hopes to see her son take his rightful position as head of the family.
