Continuing their push into original programming, ReelzChannel has picked up its first non-scripted competition series: Race to the Scene. The new series, which is slated for a spring 2013 launch, is already attracting attention from advertisers including Camping World and Good Sam, which has made a commitment as a new advertising partner of Reelz.
Race to the Scene will be hosted by action-movie star Dolph Lundgren and follow pairs of contestants who race to and from actual movie locations as they compete in challenges and stunts inspired by memorable movie moments. Hochberg Ebersol Company is producing with Justin Hochberg and Charlie Ebersol serving as executive producers. The series is currently casting contestants, with production slated to commence later this year.
