Exclusive: Well this one very nearly slipped under the radar. Sources tell me that Comedy Central has closed a deal with CBS Studios International to acquire the exclusive first run pay TV rights to CBS’ short lived comedy series How To Be A Gentleman. I’m also being told that Comedy Central has set the premiere for the show’s nine episode first season for Monday July 9th at 9:30pm.

Based on the book written by John Bridges, How To Be A Gentleman was developed for CBS by David Hornsby. The series follows two unlikely friends, one an uptight columnist, the other a war veteran and reformed bad boy. How To Be A Gentleman stars David Hornsby as Andrew Carlson, Kevin Dillon as Bert Lansing, Dave Foley as Jerry, Mary Lynn Rajskub as Janet, Nancy Lenehan as Diane and Rhys Darby as Mike. The series is produced by Media Rights Capital and CBS Television Studios, with David Hornsby, Adam Chase and Ted Schachter serving as executive producers.
