The second season of USA Network’s legal-drama series Fairly Legal will receive its UK premiere on Universal Channel on Sunday July 8th at 8pm, it has been announced.

Fairly Legal was created by Michael Sardo and follows Kate Reed, who recently jumped professions from attorney-at-law to mediator, based out of her recently deceased father’s law firm. The drama series stars Sarah Shahi as Kate Reed, Virginia Williams as Lauren Reed, Michael Trucco as Justin Patrick and Baron Vaughn as Leo Prince. Joining Fairly Legal as a series regular for its second season is Ryan Johnson, who plays Ben Grogan, a new attorney at Reed & Reed. Also set to reprise their roles from last season is recurring guest stars Gerald McRaney as Judge Nicastro and Esai Morales as District Attorney Aaron Davidson.

In the show’s 13 episode second season, Kate Reed has a new conflict on her hands in the form of the sharp, hustling, up-and-coming trial attorney Ben Grogan. Hired by managing partner Lauren Reed to save the firm, which was on the verge of collapse, Ben’s presence adds fuel to Kate’s already at-odds relationship with her same-aged stepmother and puts pressure on her relationship with her soon-to-be-ex-husband, Justin Patrick. Driven by her passion for justice, Kate continues her crusades against the endless bureaucracy and daily injustices of the system using her unorthodox methods, pull-no-punches attitude and legal savvy to resolve conflicts in the face of a wide variety of adversaries. Getting people what they need and finding the “true win” is Kate’s specialty, expertly handling multi-million dollar corporate disputes, personal family feuds and everything in between.
