NBC Picks Up ‘Save Me’ To Series

NBC has ordered its second comedy series this pilot season. TVWise has confirmed that the network has picked up comedy pilot ‘Save Me’ to series, with a 13 episode order.

The sitcom, which hails from writer John Scott Shepherd, Sony Pictures Television and Original Film & Television, stars Anne Heche, Michael Landes, Madison Davenport, Alexandra Breckenridge & Heather Burns and revolves around a woman in a dysfunctional marriage who, after a sudden transformation, comes to believe that she is channeling God.

This is the second series that NBC has picked up from pilot for next season and, as such, joins previously ordered series Go On and Hannibal. A number of other series orders are expected throughout the week; current buzz is that comedies 1600 Penn and The New Normal are next in line for series orders on the comedy side, while, on the drama side, word is that Dick Wolf’s Chicago Fire and JJ Abrams’ Revolution are heading towards series orders.
