NBC Picks Up JJ Abrams’ ‘Revolution’ & Ryan Murphy’s ‘New Normal’ To Series

Following on from the pickup of Save Me, NBC has picked up two more pilots to series: JJ Abrams’ action-drama Revolution and Ryan Murphy’s comedy The New Normal. Both shows have been handed 13 episode orders.

Revolution is a one hour action-drama from JJ Abrams and Eric Kripke and revolves around a group of characters struggling to survive in a new world where all technology has ceased to exist. Revolution stars Billy Burke, Giancarlo Esposito, Graham Rogers, Tracy Spiradakos and Anna Lise and is produced by Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

The New Normal is a comedy series which was created by Ali Adler and revolves around the daily lives of a gay couple and the surrogate who is helping them have a child. The comedy stars Bebe Wood, Justin Bartha, Andrew Rannells, Ellen Barkin and Georgia King. New Normal is produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Ryan Murphy Productions, with Ryan Murphy and Ali Adler serving as executive producers.
