PBS UK has announced the premiere dates for two upcoming documentaries: The Amish and Medal of Honor.

Up first is The Amish which will premiere on the channel on Sunday May 6th at 8:30pm. The latest entry in PBS’ acclaimed American Experience series, The Amish takes a look at the cloistered community and their way of life; including revealing the pressures on Amish teenagers who are only now discovering the kind of existence enjoyed by others outside the narrow confines of their upbringing. The documentary also includes the first interview with the parents of one of the 10 Amish girls who were murdered by Charles Roberts in 2006.

Medal of Honor will debut on the channel on Thursday May 10th at 9pm. This one hour documentary tells the story of the three medals of honour, one for each branch of the armed services. There are also interviews with 13 of the 102 recipients who are still alive, along with many stories recalling the exploits of other recipients.
