Channel 4 Sets UK Premiere Date For The Killing Season 2

The second season of AMC’s drama series The Killing will receive its UK premiere on Channel 4 on Wednesday May 2nd at 10pm, it has been announced.

The Killing is based on the Danish series Forbrydelsen and was deveoped for American television by Veena Sud. Set in Seattle, the drama series follows a police investigation into the murder of teenager Rosie Larsen. The Killing stars Mireille Enos, Billy Campbell, Joel Kinnaman, Michelle Forbes, Brent Sexton, Kristin Lehman, Eric Ladin, Brendan Sexton and Jamie Anne Allman.

The shows thirteen episode second season premiered on US cable network AMC on Sunday April 1st with a two hour premiere. The show second season opened with 1.8 million total viewers and a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic in live+same day, down 22% in total viewers and 29% in the demo compared to the season one finale. It is currently unknown if the series will be renewed for a third season.
