That didn’t take long. Just 24 hours ago, TVWise brought you the exclusive news that Sony was preparing to release the third season of Breaking Bad (which hasn’t been broadcast on UK television) on DVD. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment made that official today by announcing the DVD release of Breaking Bad: The Complete Third Season.

The four disc set is being released (as we previously reported) on Monday May 14th and is priced at £29.99 (RRP). As the title suggests, the box set will include all 13 episodes from the show’s third season with a running time of 800 minutes.

In addition, Sony has confirmed that the set will include the following special features: Cast & Crew commentary on five episodes, featuring Vince Gilligan, Bryan Cranston, Betsy Brandt, Dean Norris, RJ Mitte and more, 4 All-New Behind-the-Scenes featurettes, deleted scenes & unused footage, mini video podcasts with the cast and crew for every episode and a featurette titled Inside Breaking Bad which offers a unique behind-the-scenes view of each episode.

Here is Sony’s official description for the DVD release: “Experience the darkest and most dangerous season yet when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment brings Breaking Bad: The Complete Third Season to DVD on May 14. The critically acclaimed series stars Bryan Cranston, winner of three Best Actor Emmys for his role as Walter White, chemistry teacher turned drug dealer and Aaron Paul (TV’s “Big Love”), Emmy winner (Best Supporting Actor) for his portrayal of Walter’s partner-in-crime, Jesse Pinkman. Breaking Bad also stars Anna Gunn (TV’s “Deadwood”), Dean Norris (Terminator 2: Judgment Day), Betsy Brandt (TV’s “Back When We Were Grownups”), and RJ Mitte. Featuring all 13 episodes, the third season release is packed with special features including deleted scenes, cast & crew commentary on five episodes, four all-new behind-the-scenes featurettes, mini video podcasts and much more!”
