E4 Sets UK Return Date For The Big Bang Theory Season Five

The fifth season of The Big Bang Theory will return to E4 on Thursday March 29th at 8pm, it has been announced.

The second half of the fifth season kicks off with the episode The Shiny Trinket Maneuver. Here is E4’s description for the episode: “When Sheldon proves dismissive of Amy’s career accomplishments, Penny, Raj and Leonard try to make him realise that sometimes it’s beneficial to a relationship to pretend to care about things, even if you aren’t really that interested. Howard notices that Bernadette can’t stand being around children when the two of them perform a magic show at his nephew’s birthday party.”

The Big Bang Theory is broadcast in the United States by CBS where, season to date, the series has been averaging 15.2 million total viewers and a 5.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic in live+same day; making it one of the network’s most successful comedy series. The Big Bang Theory has already been renewed for a sixth and seventh season by CBS.
