E4 Acquires UK Rights To Revenge
Revenge was created by Mike Kelley and is a modern day take on the story of The Count Of Monte Cristo. The series stars Emily VanCamp, Madeleine Stowe, Gabriel Mann, Henry Czerny, Ashley Madekwe, Nick Wechsler, Joshua Bowman, Connor Paolo and Christa B. Allen and revolves around VanCamp’s character, Emily Thorne/Amanda Clake, who moves to the Hamptons to exact revenge on the people who framed her father and got him convicted of a crime he didn’t commit.
Speaking of Revenge, Gill Hay, Head of Acquisitions for Channel 4, said: “This primetime soap is a delicious guilty pleasure encompassing all the money, power and privilege of the Hamptons and a young woman set on revenge. It’s a compelling watch, which I think E4 viewers will find addictive.”
While Dayna Donaldson, Executive Director for Disney Media Distribution, said: “Revenge is one of the buzziest, juiciest series around at the moment – ABC Studios have produced a winning combination of intrigue, darkness, and sheer glamour, which is universally entertaining. We’re confident that E4 viewers will quickly be hooked.”
