Exclusive: ITV does have the UK broadcast rights to season 4 of In Plain Sight and intends to broadcast the show’s fourth season later on this year, sources at the channel confirm exclusively to TVWise.
This news will undoubtedly come as a relief to UK fans of the Mary McCormack fronted series. There were some doubts as to whether or not the series would have garnered enough viewers in its 3am time-slot to warrant ITV acquiring the rights to the show’s fourth season. That said, don’t expect the series to move to an earlier (or later?) time, as I’m told that the series will be staying put in its early morning time-slot.
In Plain Sight was created by David Maples and revolves around Deputy US Marshall Mary Shannon as she performs her duties protecting witnesses in the federal witness protection program (WITSEC). The series stars Mary McCormack (Murder One, The West Wing), Fred Weller, Paul Ben Victor, Lesley Ann Warren and Nicole Hiltz. The fifth and final season of the series is due to premiere in the United States on USA Network next week.
