TBS has ordered an additional 35 episodes of Tyler Perry’s newest series, For Better Or Worse. The series completed its first season on the network in December and, over the course of its first season, averaged 2.9 million viewers and 1.6 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic. The series will return to its Friday night time-slot in the summer alongside new series Men At Work and The Wedding Band.
For Better or Worse focuses on three couples at various stages of their relationships and stars Tasha Smith, Michael Jai White, Crystle Stewart, Kent Faulcon, Kiki Haynes and Jason Olive. The series is produced under the same Debmar-Mercury model which is being utilised for Charlie Sheen’s new series Anger Management for FX.
Speaking of the addition episode order, Michael Wright, Executive Vice-President and head of programming for TBS, TNT and TCM, said: “Tyler Perry’s shows have proven to be a popular draw for TBS on Friday nights. We’re very happy to keep that trend going by ordering more episodes of Tyler Perry’s For Better Or Worse.”
