Syfy Renews Being Human For Third Season – TVWise

Syfy has renewed Being Human for a third season consisting of 13 episodes, the network has announced.
The early renewal comes only four episodes into the shows second season, which premiered on January 16th. The show, which was already the networks most female skewing scripted series, has seen notable increases in ratings over last season: +27% in Adults 18-49, +35% in Adults 25-54 and +15% in total viewers.
Speaking of the renewal, Mark Stern, President of Original Content for Syfy and co-President of Original Content for Universal Cable Productions, said: “With the success of season two, ‘Being Human’ has become a premier destination forSyfy viewers. Jeremy Carver and Anna Fricke have taken this series to new heights this year and we’re excited to see where the third season will go.”
Being Human stars Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath and Sam Huntington and revolves around a trio consisting of a Vampire, a ghost and a werewolf all trying to live normal lives, in effect being human. The series is an adaptation of the popular BBC Three series which is currently airing its fourth season in the UK.
