NBC Sets Return Date For Community, Premieres For Bent, Best Friends Forever and Betty White’s Off Their Rockers

Students! Greendale Community College is re-opening. NBC has just announced a slew of changes to their spring schedule, which includes the return of the third season of Community on Thursday March 15th at 8/7c, the premiere of new comedy series Bent on Wednesday March 21st at 9/8c, the premiere of Best Friends Forever on Wednesday April 4th at 8:30/7:30c and the premiere of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers on Wednesday April 4th at 8/7c.

NBC’s spring schedule features the highest percentage of original programs in the network’s history with only 13 total hours of repeat programming from Sunday to Friday through mid-May. “We are happy to have an unprecedented amount of original content on NBC this spring. ‘Bent,’ ‘Best Friends Forever’ and ‘Betty White’s Off Their Rockers’ are welcome additions to the Wednesday schedule, and we know that the loyal fans of ‘Community’ will be pleased with its return to its home on Thursdays at 8:00 p.m” said Robert Greenblatt, President of Entertainment for NBC.

New comedy series Bent will premiere on Wednesday March 21st at 9/8c and will air back-to back episodes on March 21st, March 28th and April 4th before airing single episodes as of April 11th. The series stars Amanda Peet, Joey King and David Walton and follows Alex, a high-strung lawyer who, following her recent divorce, is raising her young daughter, Charlie, as a single mom. She downsizes into a smaller house and hires Pete, a surfer and ladies’ man who desperately needs this gig with Alex to jump start his life and prove that he is no longer a screw-up.

Best Friends Forever, bowing on  Wednesday April 4th at 8:30/7:30c, stars stars Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham and revolves around two best friends who move in together after one of them goes through a divorce and decides to move back to Brooklyn

Meanwhile, Betty White’s new reality-comedy series Off Their Rockers will debut Wednesday April 4th at 8/7c. The series, which saw a strong sneak-peek debut in January, follows White an other senior citizens playing pranks on younger generations in order to “takes senior stereotypes and blow them out of the water.”

Following the return of Community on March 15th, new episodes of 30 Rock will be broadcast in the 8:30pm time-slot on Thursday nights, followed by new episodes of The Office at 9pm and new episodes of Up All Night at 9:30pm. Parks and Recreation will return to NBC’s Thursday night line up on April 19th following the conclusion of Up All Night’s 24 episode freshman season. Rock Center With Brian Williams will move forward one hour on Wednesday nights to 10/9c for five weeks as of March 7th to accomodate the back-to-back episode of Bent, before resuming its 9/8c timeslot on April 11th. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will return with new episodes on April 11th at 10/9c.
